Answers before your first run.

Clear answers about credits, outputs, references, CSV, retention, and files.

What does one credit include?

One credit is charged for one delivered output in one garment tone. Background removal and finalization happen before the preview. Downloading costs no additional credit.

How long are credits valid?

Plan credits remain valid until the end of each monthly allocation window and do not roll over. Credit packs remain valid for 12 months from purchase and survive a plan change.

Do I download the artwork I see in review?

Yes. You download the finalized artwork as the transparent PNG file on which the reduced preview is based. Any visible garment stage is not part of the file. Downloading does not trigger new background removal.

Does downloading again cost credits?

No. While the file remains available in your download window or library, downloading it uses no additional credit. If your plan loses library access, existing library files remain downloadable for 30 days and are deleted afterward.

Must I generate dark and light together?

No. Choose dark, light, or both. Each garment variant is one file and costs one credit.

What is the difference between Free and paid output?

Free is for testing the workflow: 1500 × 1800 pixels, 72 DPI, and a watermark. Starter and higher deliver transparent 4500 × 5400 PNGs at 300 DPI without a watermark.

Can I use paid generations commercially?

Yes. Generations from a paid plan include a commercial license. You remain responsible for ensuring that your inputs, reference images, wording, and use of the result do not infringe third-party rights.

How is my reference image used?

It sets the design direction. MerchKern aims for a separate design rather than a one-to-one copy. Only use images you have the necessary rights to use, and review the result yourself.

Is requested wording guaranteed?

No. Wording is submitted as a separate instruction, but AI output can vary. Review the text and artwork before use.

How large can a CSV batch be?

Paid plans can submit up to 25 structured rows per CSV run. Every row keeps its own status.

What happens after a technical failure?

Reserved credits for outputs not technically delivered during the initial generation run or separately confirmed rework are returned. Successfully delivered outputs remain charged normally. Purely subjective dissatisfaction after delivery does not create an additional voluntary refund right; statutory rights remain unaffected.

Will the file work with every print provider?

Paid outputs meet the stated PNG specification. Still check your print provider's individual requirements for print area, bleed, and color profile.
